The PowerPad line of portable computer batteries immediately available to consumers

Toronto, Ontario – March 6, 2002 – Electrofuel Inc. (TSE: EFL) announced todaythat it has signed anagreement with CompuSmart Canada to supply its PowerPad line of portable computer batteries toCompuSmart’s retail locations across Canada. This agreement will enable Electrovaya to market itsSuperPolymer™ laptop batteries to the retail end-user market. CompuSmart is part of the largest Canadianfranchisor of computer retailers and resellers, Hartco Corporation (TSE:HCC), which has annual sales ofover $600 million.

“This is the natural next step for Electrovaya.
