(TSX: EFL, www.electrovaya.com), a world leader in lithium ion SuperPolymer® battery technology, is pleased to announce the award of a US $2.95 million contract by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration– Johnson Space Center). Electrovaya is to provide its high-energy lithium ion SuperPolymer® power systems as a power source for the spacesuitsastronautswearduring their space walk missions outside the spacecraft.
Announcing the award, Dr. James K Jacobs, Chief Technology Officer, stated “Electrovaya is deeply honored to be selected by NASA to supply our batteries and complete power systems to meet this critical area of NASA space mission operations.
