Electrofuel Inc. (TSE:EFL) announced today that it has receiveda US$2 million purchase order for its PowerPad 160 rechargeable portable computer batteries from alarge Value-Added Reseller (VAR). The VAR will market the PowerPad 160 through its toll-freecatalog and online order system, and through its dedicated corporate account teams.
“This order will allow Electrofuel to extend its reach into Fortune 500 companies,” said Pat McCool,Vice President, Sales for Electrofuel. “The VAR’s direct marketing capability to large enterprisecustomers will create greater exposure for Electrofuel’s products and broaden our market coverage.
”Using Electrofuel’s proprietary lithium ion SuperPolymer battery technology, the PowerPad 160delivers up to 8 times more power for notebook computers than conventional battery packs. ThePowerPad 160 provides notebooks with 12 to 16 hours of power while weighing only 2.5 lbs. It isabout the same size as letter-sized paper, at 8.75” x 11.5” and only 3/8” thick, so it can fit inside abriefcase or notebook carrying case.
